ABOUT ALEX STOLZ
Alex Stolz works at the intersection of storytelling, audience and ownership in the screen industries.
His work is centred on one core question: how audiences find, experience and fall in love with stories.
He began his career programming cinemas before moving into the UK Film Council and BFI, where as Head of Distribution he led the development and implementation of major audience strategies across the UK and internationally, supporting the releases of hundreds of films.
He later moved into marketing technology as Head of Audience at usheru, working across film and live entertainment to develop more data-driven approaches to audience growth and campaign performance.
Through this experience, Stolz identified a growing gap between how audiences are changing and how the industry is responding, particularly in terms of innovation.
He founded Future of Film in response to that gap, to explore and build new approaches to storytelling, audience and ownership.
Stolz also advises companies across film, media and technology on strategy, positioning and audience development, helping them navigate a rapidly shifting landscape where creation and value capture are increasingly intertwined.
He is host of the Future of Film Podcast and Marketing and Distribution Podcast, featuring conversations with leading voices shaping the future of the screen industries.
